sessions
You're probably here because you want to know how our relationship works before you spend time on a consultation.
That seems reasonable. Here it is.
structure
Free 30-minute consultation. No charge, no obligation. We talk; at the end of it we both decide whether the work fits.
50-minute coaching sessions. Flat rate per session. Ongoing.
Sessions are conducted using Upheal, and you will schedule time with me using the Upheal Client Portal app.
Payment is due at the end of each session. You can keep a credit/debit card securely stored in your Upheal Client Portal account, or pay by Venmo or PayPal.
pay per session
I don't sell packages.
When I trained, I learned to sell coaching as multi-session commitments — something like six sessions, twelve sessions, a multi-month engagement. I understand why that's a common model. It can commit you to depth and can operationalize accountability, and it can stabilize revenue for me.
I chose a different model for the same reasons in reverse. I don't want you on my calendar because you bought a punch card. I want you on my calendar because the last session was useful and you want another one. If a session wasn't useful, the right move is to stop, not to feel obligated to use up what you paid for.
So you pay for sessions as they happen. There is no minimum. There is no escalating discount for buying in bulk. You decide each time whether to come back, and payment is due at the conclusion of the session.
Some of my clients work with me for a long time. Some come for a few months. Some come once and never again, and I'm fine with that.
cadence
There is no required rhythm. Most clients land on something like every other week (which I'd recommend as a default to start). Some come weekly when the work is dense; some space out to monthly once a question has settled.
I don't ask for advance commitments to a cadence. We schedule the next session at the end of each session, or you reach out when you're ready. I have no preference.
cancellation and rescheduling
My stated policy is 24-hour notice for cancellations. After that, the session is nonrefundable.
This policy is based on time, not the situation.
what's not included
on this page
In-person sessions. I work virtually by default through Upheal; I do see some clients in person in an office in Cherry Creek (Denver, Colorado, USA). If that's relevant to you, ask during the consultation.
Couples sessions. Same rates as individual sessions. Two people in the room, same 50 minutes, same money.
Group programs. I'm not currently running any.
